THE URBAN PROMISE

Our work.
Our responsibility.

Limited lifetime
workmanship coverage.

Roofing, windows, and siding—installed with care and backed by Urban.

Urban Remodeling LLC, doing business as Urban Roofing Co., warrants its installation work against defects caused by workmanship for as long as the original buyer lives in the residence where the products were installed.

This coverage applies to installation work performed by Urban, begins once Urban Roofing Co. has received full payment for the project, whether paid directly by you or through your financing provider, and ends when ownership of the home transfers. For financed projects, you do not need to finish repaying your loan for workmanship coverage to begin. Coverage assumes normal use and reasonable maintenance.

Manufacturer warranties cover eligible product defects separately. Their coverage periods, registration requirements, exclusions, and transfer provisions may differ from Urban’s workmanship warranty.

WORKMANSHIP DETAILS

Clear terms.
Less guesswork.

What happens if there’s an installation issue?

Contact Urban promptly after discovering a possible workmanship defect. We will arrange an inspection within a reasonable time. If the issue is covered, Urban may repair, reinstall, replace, or refund the price of the affected installation service, at Urban’s option.

If an original product is unavailable, an equivalent-quality replacement may be used. Minor color or texture differences between original and replacement materials are not, by themselves, defects. If Urban provides a refund instead of corrective work, Urban’s workmanship coverage for the refunded service ends.

What isn’t covered?

This workmanship warranty does not cover product manufacturing defects, normal wear or weathering, fading, deterioration of caulk or sealants, or problems caused by inadequate maintenance or unreasonable use.

It also excludes damage caused by building settlement or structural failure, incompatible accessories, work or alterations by others, fire, flooding, storms, windblown objects, ice dams, other events outside Urban’s control, vandalism, pollutants, and salt exposure.

Pre-existing conditions, condensation or humidity-related issues, mold or mildew, and the identification or removal of hazardous substances are outside this coverage. These exclusions do not prevent a separate claim under an applicable manufacturer warranty.

What are the homeowner’s responsibilities?

Maintain installed products as recommended, including cleaning and any necessary sealing, painting, or caulking. Keep your agreement, proof of payment, product information, and warranty documents.

Report concerns promptly and contact Urban before arranging repairs by others. Non-warranty repairs or adjustments may involve a service charge; ask about any charges when arranging service.

WARRANTY FAQs

A little clarity.
More peace of mind.

What’s the difference between workmanship and product coverage?

Urban’s workmanship warranty covers defects caused by our installation work, subject to the terms above. Manufacturer warranties address eligible defects in the products themselves, such as shingles, windows, or siding. These are separate forms of coverage, each with its own conditions and exclusions.

Why does the GAF warranty say “sample”?

The PDF explains the GAF System Plus warranty terms for reference. It is not a registration certificate or confirmation that a particular project has that coverage. Keep your project agreement and warranty registration records together, and contact Urban if you need help identifying the documents for your roof.

Where should I start if I notice a problem?

Contact Urban with your installation address, the service performed, a description of the concern, and photos if available. We can review the concern and help identify whether it relates to installation or the product. Manufacturer claims must also follow the notice deadlines and claim instructions in the applicable warranty.

What happens to the warranties if I sell my home?

Urban’s workmanship coverage ends when ownership transfers. A manufacturer may allow its product warranty to transfer under separate rules, deadlines, or fees. Give the new owner your project and warranty documents, and consult the applicable manufacturer warranty before the sale to understand its requirements.

Have a warranty question?

Start with Urban.

Tell us your installation address, the service performed, and what you’ve noticed. Photos and your project documents can help us review the concern. For a manufacturer claim, follow the notice deadlines and instructions in its warranty; contacting Urban does not replace those requirements.
